In theory it's so simple, but in reality it's not so simple.
You step on the scales each week and despite your best efforts that damn number just isn't changing!
You've tried to do some exercise, you've tried eating healthier, but it just doesn't seem to be working.
Sound familiar?
Don't worry you are 100% not alone in your struggle, it's one of the most common problems that people come to me with in the gym.
Be honest with yourself
First thing we have to look at when we're not losing weight is are we really being honest with ourselves.
Are you actually being sensible with your eating?
Are you drinking too much alcohol at the weekends?
Are you having those snacks in the evenings after work and not thinking that they count?
Have you really been doing as much exercise as you're saying to people?
Be honest, bite the bullet and you'll be able to identify the areas you need to improve on.
Sometimes healthy foods aren't all that healthy
Foods like avocado and granola are all the rage these days, but you'd be shocked about how many calories are actually in them.
Check the labels and keep your calories in check.
That Egg & Avocado on Toasted Rye Bread sprinkled with pumpkin seeds might sound super healthy (And hipster), but the sneaky calories in there wouldn't probably surprise you.
Damn you weekend
Yep, it's that pesky weekend again. The 2 and a bit days where all routine, logic and inhibitions go out the window.
It's quite often the big downfall for a lot of people and an inconvenient truth that is usually avoided.
Now I'm not saying don't have a social life - that would be boring as hell!
What I am saying is be a little bit more mindful and try not to overindulge and ruin all your hardworking during the week.
